Focused on University Students
As The School for Young Children serves as a model laboratory school, students from various colleges and universities (studying a variety of academic disciplines) study and observe our programs. They study the growth and development of young children and are exposed to professional teaching practices. Our university students are an integral part of our program.
The School for Young Children offers an ideal placement site for University of Saint Joseph students. Students from various degree programs, including Child Study, Nursing, Nutrition, and Psychology, frequently seek the support of The School to fulfill their course requirements.
The School also provides work-study opportunities for University of Saint Joseph undergraduate students. Student workers engage in a work study orientation presentation before starting any work assignments at The School for Young Children.
